Tennessee: The Website!

While we at the Apple have been busy catching up on our gardening, the devoted Mariah Carey fanbase has been hard at work tracking the progress of the Adam Rothenberg vehicle, Tennessee, which also happens to feature Mariah’s return to the silver screen. Consequently, we are indebted to the Mariah Daily Journal for news of the launch of the film’s official website. Pretty bare bones for now, basically just what was over at the production company’s original page, but we’ll keep an eye out for announcements.

In other, much less timely Tennesse news, Page Six recently reported “THAT Mariah Carey just finished filming ‘Tennessee,’ her follow-up to the execrable ‘Glitter,’ and co-wrote a song with Willie Nelson for the soundtrack. Word from the set is she’s ‘really, really good’ in it – ‘It might be the cinema equivalent to the Red Sox winning the World Series,’ we’re told… ” We had no idea that Mariah had traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees, jinxing her career to several decades of disappointment, but we’re nonetheless pleased to see that the positive buzz continues to circulate around the project.

That’s it for now, but the Apple staff are in negotiations for a few items that will be rolled out in the coming months as we get closer to one or the other of Adam’s projects hitting the theaters, so check back in with us later. As always, thanks for stopping by.

Hey, Adam Rothenberg Fans! Here’s Tennessee Update for ya’ll…

According to a recent news update on director Aaron Woodley’s official website (http://www.aaronwoodley.com/news.html), post-production for Tennessee wraps up this fall and it’s now listed in his filmography as “Tennessee” (2008). Also, Lee Daniels Entertainment (http://www.leedanielsentertainment.com/tennessee/), the production site for “Tennessee” (with it’s own section of the movie) has also updated the status of this film as currently in post-production. No release date for this film yet, but it looks like it’ll be released sometime in 2008.
